Haus of Shadow is boldly led by the rootworker known as Shadow Thoughts, our Head of HausHold, rooted in the historic grounds of Spotsylvania and Fredericksburg, Virginia.

Shadow’s lineage stretches further, extending into Caroline County (once Bakerstown), Stafford, King and Queen, Bowling Green, and Tappahannock (all within Virginia). Through this heritage, Shadow embodies the survival, artistry, and spiritual authority passed down through generations of pastors, healers, and nurturers.

Operating as a rootworker, healer, and cultural keeper, Shadow serves as the living bridge between pulpits and prayer cloths, crossroads dust and church pews, the beat of the drum and the hum of the hymn. Trained across multiple sacred texts and religious perspectives, Shadow holds theology as a tool of liberation rather than a cage, weaving it into a practice grounded in Hoodoo’s ancestral roots.

A poet, public speaker, creator of music and ethereal art, curator, and visionary, Shadow carries a ministry that transcends walls and titles. Known for tending the roots, guarding the gates, and speaking life where it is most needed, Shadow stands as the keeper of the Haus — the one holding the threshold between the seen and unseen, restoring what was stolen, one shadow at a time.

As Head of HausHold, Shadow stewards the teachings, workings, and HausMade curios that flow from this space. Every offering is shaped by lineage, honed by lived experience, and lit with the coals of love that have carried our people through generations.
